Mega man 6 boss order1/2/2023 ![]() The first is the pause trick, which is an exploit that makes one of the most challenging bosses, the Yellow Devil, a breeze rather than a challenge similar to breaking down a brick wall with nothing but your forehead. ![]() Whether you tackle the first Mega Man early or later, there are a few things to be aware of before you get rolling. If you’re determined enough to make it through the series you’ll make it out with a particularly adept skillset that’ll make the remaining games much easier to tackle. Once you’ve played through other games in the series you’ll have a much better appreciation for this particular classic, though of course if you’re interested in a more genuine experience you should still consider this game as your starting point. As a result, a lot of Mega Man guides suggest that you should simply skip this iteration until later in your blue bomber career. It has some bugs, it has a heck of a punishing difficulty scale, and it lacks plenty of the features that make the future games in the series both easier and more fun. The original Mega Man is easily the most difficult simply because it carries the characteristics of a lot of franchise-establishing games. ![]() So through a bit of painful experimentation, we’ve went ahead and compiled a list of some of the best ways to handle each game in the Collection with minimal hair pulling, vows of vengeance, and rage quitting. Of course every Mega Man game features a variety of challenging bosses with specific weaknesses to the many master weapons, and almost every game in the series requires a special attention to the order at which you tackle each boss so you don’t spend your time bashing your head against levels that you lack the item, or the weapon to properly handle. The bulk of people playing the Legacy Collection are probably old fans of both nostalgia and 2D super heroes, but there’s always those righteous few determined to live out the classics who might have missed the train because of silly chronological issues surrounding their birth and the release of the original games. The Mega Man Legacy Collection, now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, is a true to the cuff official re-creation of the iconic blue bomber’s early days, including all of the classic bugs, flaws, and exploits in revitalized bright flashy colors.

Chris remo1/2/2023 ![]() Since then, I’ve been working as a video game developer. That eventually led to me getting a job as a video game journalist, which I did for a few years before being recruited by Irrational Games. I ended up meeting Jake Rodkin and some other people and we founded a video game website called Idle Thumbs in 2004. I was a music major in college but I hung around on a couple video game related forums on the interest because all of my real-life friends weren’t really into games, so that particular interest of mine kind of only existed online unlike my interests in movies and books and things like that. How did you get your start in the gaming industry? ![]() Consequently, their take on gaming is drastically different and that’s refreshing.Ĭurrently, Chris is working on Firewatch in many different capacities, including composition, programming and testing, and is still a co-host of the Idle Thumbs Podcast, along with Nick Breckon, Sean Vanaman, Jake Rodkin and Danielle Riendeau. I only discovered Idle Thumbs recently, and thought it was brilliant! Journalists or gamers record most gaming podcasts, but Idle Thumbs has a mixture of journalists and developers. He’s been a community manager for both Irrational and DoubleFine, and most recently composed Gone Home, developed by the Fullbright Company. He co-founded Idle Thumbs, which started as a video games website and is now a hit gaming podcast. He’s dabbled in the design, writing and composition of games, and has also spent some time as a journalist. Chris Remo is a jack-of-all-trades and a master of most when it comes to the games industry.

Street fighter alpha 2 chd12/31/2022 ![]() Perhaps the biggest setback of the PS1 port lies in the original content of the arcade. There is some slowdown here and there, but its never a frequent issue and it doesn't impact gameplay when it does creep up. Speed is not as much a problem as people perceive it to be. The games intro is simply an FMV recording of the arcade intro. They are now replaced with a very unique, less memory intensive walk animation that substitutes both actions. The most interesting animation cuts come from Zangief's removal of BOTH retreat and forward walk animations. Plenty of animation frames have been cut throughout the cast. Whatever that means, the result is music audio sounds superior of the two!) Both PS1 and Saturn share a new arranged soundtrack with the Saturn's running at ADPCM format. Some missing frames worth mentioning, like Rolentos "Patriot Circle" special spin animation looks a bit choopy and Zangief's retreat animation was removed and replaced with a reversed forward walk animation. This version has the least animation cuts of the 2 ports. Loading is quick, perhaps a tad faster than PS1 version. Sprites look larger on screen out of all home ports available. Saturn (Formally the most arcade accurate home port. The game also has the distinct honor of being the only home version to retain its original CPS2 soundtrack.) The games unlockable dip switch setting allows the user to tailor and replicate the mechanics and changes of any revision that the game received during its arcade run. PS2 (The most accurate of any home console. Saturn/PS1: 5 out of 8 star speed with “Turbo” enabled after character selection (this is the closest setting that mimics the default arcade (PS2) speed without being faster or slower than). PS2/SNES: default arcade speed “Turbo 2” with “Turbo” enabled after character selection. The character subject for this exercise will be Rolento (secondary color), difficulty is set at “4 Star” default and game speed is set as follows… Controllers used for this exercise consists of a SNES standard controller, an official Nubytech 15th anniversary Street Fighter arcade stick and a tototek “Classic Joypad Converter” for stick compatibility on a Saturn. We’ll be looking at the versions found on the Saturn, PS1, SNES, and finally PS2 (where the game can be found in Alpha Anthology).Īll four 4 versions in these videos were displayed on a flat CRT 30’ Sharp brand TV with all 4 consoles outputting video in S-video. This comparison video review is just a means to see how 4 different console ports of this game stack up to the original source. With Alpha 2’s success on gaining back the respect of the community and fans alike, it was only natural that major home consoles would get a translation of the arcade game. Alpha 2 ranks in my top 3 favorite Street Fighter games of all time… 3rd Strike, Alpha 2, and Turbo Hyper Fighting. I can still remember being completely awed by the cabinet’s marquee you know the one with Ryu staring directly at Akuma with a look of fear (perhaps one of the most iconic images in the franchise, at least to me). I was exposed to this game much like every other fighter back then… at the local arcade. The Alpha Counter system was expanded with one additional counter for every character providing more diverse counter measures during combat, and most importantly, the dreaded magic series combo engine was thrown out and replaced with a new innovative mechanic known as the Custom Combo (IMO one of the greatest mechanic ever devised for the genre). The roster bolstered 4 additional fighters and the inclusion of 1 all new character, Sakura Kasugano. The visuals received a major facelift with beautifully detailed backgrounds, an improved color scheme and amazing artwork throughout. Everything Alpha 2 offered felt fresh and cohesive. It goes without saying that Alpha 2 sought to correct every major mistake set by its predecessor and thankfully, achieved in doing so with such efficient execution, that the series was once again able to bask in the glory it had attained for itself. The games graphics looked lifeless and dull especially in the backgrounds, and the gameplay felt out of place as the established “Magic Series” combo engine did not blend at all with these World Warriors as well as it had with Capcom’s other popular IP in the 2D fighting arena. The original Alpha reeked of a rushed job, with graphics and (more importantly) gameplay that did not meet the standards that the series was renowned for at the time. Unleashed onto the arcade scene in 1996, Alpha 2 had a lot to answer for after Capcom’s attempt at re-establishing the SF brand resulted in, quite frankly a major disappointment.

Dru hill one good reason lyrics12/31/2022 From having a string of Top 40 #1 hit singles, multi-platinum selling albums, movie and television appearances, headlining sold out concert tours around the world, to selling an eye-popping 30 million records worldwide, their star power has never been in question. ![]() In a career that spans nearly two decades, Dru Hill, under the steadfast leadership of their long time and trusted manager Kevin Peck has accomplished literally everything an R&B/Pop group could dream of achieving. Named after a popular Baltimore park, Dru Hill is comprised of Tamir Ruffin a/k/a Nokio, Mark Andrews a/k/a Sisqo, Larry Anthony a/k/a Jazz, and Antwuan Simpson a/k/a Tao, the newest addition the group replacing original member James Big Woody Green who left the group to pursue a solo gospel career. From their first single that asked the ever important question, Tell Me (what you want), Dru Hill has been giving fans what they need in the form of numerous classic love ballads and infectious dance songs that have provided countless beautiful memories for millions upon millions of music lovers the world over. The torch bearers responsible for carrying R&B music into the new millennium was the labor of love for four immensely talented young singers who were and remain the quintessential example of superior entertainers. However, any list that does not include the incomparable Dru Hill is grossly inaccurate. Icons guaranteed to be mentioned are industry stalwarts such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, The O'Jay's, The Jackson Five, New Edition, Guy, Jodeci, and Boyz II Men. ![]() Years from now when it's all said and done, music historians will surely debate the contributions of those who majorly impacted the genre of R&B.

The workers are Matt, Clover, and the Custom Worker. The workers are pleased to see the statue, but are shocked to see lots of customers surrounding the restaurant, all of whom came to take a look at the new statue. Papa Louie calls over Matt/Clover/Custom Workers to show them the new statue, which is a humongous, golden Maneki Neko. Papa Louie gets the idea of making Matt/Clover/Custom Worker run the Sushiria in order to pay for another cat statue, and hands over to him/her the keys and uniform. Matt/Clover/Custom Worker asks what he/she can do to help, after having broken the statue the day before. It turns out that opening day was a bust as nobody had come to the restaurant, showing an empty tip jar. The following day, Matt/Clover/Custom worker returns to the Sushiria, only to find a sad Papa Louie behind the counter. Papa Louie tells him/her not to worry about it as he will buy one with tips from Opening Day sales the next day. The tour ends and Matt/Clover/Custom Worker leaves, but walks right into the Maneki Neko (Lucky Cat) statue that is outside of the restaurant, breaking it. He shows Matt/Clover/Custom Worker the Sushi Squares and makes him/her a bubble tea drink. Matt/Clover/Custom Worker arrives at the restaurant where Papa Louie welcomes him/her and gives him/her a tour of the new restaurant. Matt/ Clover/Custom Worker wins a trip to Sakura Bay to get a sneak peek of Papa Louie's new restaurant, Papa's Sushiria.

Dead rising 2 review12/28/2022 ![]() You’ll never know when you may to stop a take a bit to eat. It’s always a good idea to keep a foot-long sub or some orange juice on you at all times. Collect magazines for special bonus powers and special abilities. You’ll need to keep yourself healthy if you want to survive. You’ll even face up against a number of heavily-armed security guards who throw flash grenades at you and shoot rounds of bullets from their wonderful assault rifles. You’ll come across zombie handlers with electric prods and bulky hazmat guys with impact hammers who’ll stop at nothing to knock you down. Watch out though, because there are more than just zombies you’ll need to worry about while trying to clear Chuck’s name. Some other awesome weapons from the combo cards include the drill bucket, the “Hail Mary,” the “Reaper,” the “Zap n’ Shine,” and my personal favorite, the “Lazer Sword.” You’ll be having fun for hours combining items together and using them against your undead foes. It’s the tiki torch that you’ll need to worry about. But, don’t worry, I’m sure that you’ll have no problem finding them. ![]() All that you’ll need to find is a blast frequency gun and an electric prod. In the above screenshot, you’ll notice Chuck carrying the “Lightning Gun,” it does exactly what it sounds like shoots beams of electricity. From the get-go, you can begin creating the combo weapons from the combo cards, but there are a few that you’ll need to unlock along the way. Let’s take a look at the types of weapons that we will be getting our hands on throughout the game. I could probably rant on and on about zombies all day long if I could, but you aren’t here for that. ![]() The Phenotrans facility has become littered with thousands of zombies for the slaying, but it seems as if the head exec’s of Phenotrans have a different set of motives that don’t involve putting an end to the zombie outbreak. The Phenotrans facility is the heavily-guarded headquarters for the pharmaceutical company responsible for manufacturing Zombrex the perfect breeding grounds for the zombie outbreak. ![]() To clear his name, Chuck and Frank head to the Phenotrans facility where they encounter a whole zombie farm. Chuck claims that Phenotrans had set him up. He blames that if it wasn’t for Chuck, this whole undead infestation wouldn’t exist. Frank, being the truth-seeker he is, wants an answer. We begin this epilogue story of DR2: Case West with the familiar-faced protagonist from the original Dead Rising, Frank West, saving the current series protagonist, Chuck Greene, from becoming zombie food. By clicking “Read More,” you’ll find my full review for the newest DLC content for Dead Rising 2: Case West. I never thought that slaying the undead during the winter would be so much fun. Over Christmas, I had the opportunity to hack up some zombies with a lazer sword (not to be mistaken by a light-saber, that’s from a different universe) and some electric cattle prods. This exclusive Xbox 360 stand-alone epilogue story is full of a whole lot more zombie slaying but with the original character, Frank West, by your side. The latest DLC content for Dead Rising 2: Case West gives the exact dosage of Zombrex that fans of the series need.

Spiderman 2 review12/28/2022 ![]() The Amazing Spiderman 2 then, is something of a mixed bag, its own disparate web of intrigue. It's also employed in more subtle and effective ways too, exploiting the medium' s potential for unexpected visual depth for scenes inside the sanctum of Oscorp itself and a disused subway station. The 3D is nevertheless absolutely spectacular, pushing the boundaries and gob-smacking effectiveness of the format to new and thrilling limits, sweeping us through the city's skyscrapers and inducing a giddying, exhilarating rush as Spidey web-slings his ways from one heroic action set-piece to another. Scenes are padded out and extra characters are briefly introduced and just as quickly excised, and the whole thing could have been snipped to fashion a punchier, tighter film. You always like to feel you're getting value for money - and you certainly do during the many frenzied, CGI-led action sequences (and with a reported budget of $200m the money's definitely up on the screen) - but with a running time of 142 minutes it would have benefitted from a judicious editorial trimming. More bang for your buck certainly, but at the expense of fleshing any of them sufficiently out.Īnd therein lays another problem: the length. As with Raimi's Spiderman 3, it comes occasionally dangerously close to packing in too many bad guys. Paul Giamatti even makes an appearance in the very first and last five minutes as a deranged Russian mobster and his eventual alter-ego Rhino. Electro himself growls, snarls and hurls bolts of electric charges from his fingertips in his destructive skirmishes with our webbed wonder, yet visually he seems a twisted, sparkling, translucent love child of Dr Manhattan from Watchmen and Mr Freeze.ĭane DeHaan plays Harry Osborn as a convincing pal to Parker, rekindling an old friendship in earlier scenes of affecting psychological drama that ultimately degenerate into inane grinning and cackling when he finally – and all to briefly – falls victim to an hereditary mutation that make him the Green Goblin. Jamie Foxx's Max Dillon is set up as Oscorp's gap-toothed, bespectacled nerdy lackey who transforms into Electro after plunging into a gigantic vat of mutant electric eels. There are also a few unexpectedly moving scenes between Peter and Aunt May (Sally Field) that deliver a surprisingly emotional wallop.īut if Marvel on celluloid is defined by anything it's the ability to deliver action-packed set-pieces and villains that kick monumental ass – and Spidey 2 delivers in bucket loads. They over-play it a little here, but there's an undeniable charm and chemistry with their interplay. Admittedly, the dynamic between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone works well, blending the kooky, lanky, charming awkwardness of Parker with the head-strong academic beauty of Stacey. The emotional epicentre of the Spiderman mythology has always been the love story, whether it's Mary-Jane or Gwen Stacey. On one hand it's a romance, sprinkled with the angst and torment of teen love and Parker's inevitable realisation that his web-slinging alter-ego will inevitably pose a threat to those he loves the most. It doesn't help that director Webb seems so often split as to which story he really wants to tell. A certain case of the law of diminishing returns. There's a prevailing and niggling sense of de ja vu with it all, exacerbated by the fact that practically every week ushers in the cinematic unleashing of a new Marvel movie. More back-story about Peter Parker's parents, more villains, more romance, more special effects, more spectacular city-destroying action. The Amazing Spiderman 2 gives us more of the same. It wasn't as good as Raimi's, but it wasn't a total disaster either. Whatever the reason, our favourite acrobatic arachnid – now prefixed with the Amazing attribute - was given a slightly different spin on an old and familiar comic book origins story. ![]() Tobey Maguire had barely hung up his Spidey suit for Sam Raimi's take on the web-slinging franchise before director Marc Webb cast Andrew Garfield and kick-started his own reboot.Įxactly why Spiderman needed another interpretation is open to speculation – some believe it's to make up for the over-stuffed, messy Spiderman 3, others that the studio wanted to retain the rights before they reverted back to Marvel. That said, there are plenty of thrills and spills amidst the expositional sojourns, and it's occasionally a perky, funky, vibrant take on the character's mythology. Some scenes could have in fact been cut and paste from previous Spidey adventures.
